Observational drawing is one way we can connect with the living world. Plants are more than resources to extract from the earth or a static backdrop to our daily lives. Plants are living beings with their own agendas, often fulfilling deeply important and individualized ecological niches. In drawing plants, we gain the ability to see, venerate, and understand them in a new way.
